One man's trash is another man's treasure

I found a computer on the curb (trash) the other day. More specifically, a computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse, and all necessary cables. There was also a flat-screen tv with it.
The computer is a Dell Inspiron 530s; Intel Celeron; 1GB RAM; 160GB HDD; Windows Vista Home Basic. 8 years old. Dell monitor; Dell keyboard; HP mouse.
When I tested it, everything worked fine, including the mouse, which I thought was broken because there was something loose rattling around inside it.
It still had all their data on it! It was a family computer, and everyone used one account (which was not password protected.) The wallpaper was a photo of two of their children sleeping... It had lots of software installed and lots of data. The HDD had only 30gb free.
I took apart the keyboard and mouse and cleaned them thoroughly... Inside the mouse was a little electrolytic capacitor banging around, but there was no capacitor missing, the mouse worked fine, and the capacitor looked like it had not been soldered, so the only thing I can think of was that it fell in during manufacturing.
The keyboard was filthy, but after taking it all apart and washing the keys and the top part, it was like new. I also cleaned my keyboard (logitech k360 that I use with my MBP) while I was at it.
Now it's in great condition, like almost new.
I'll use this to power a surveillance system which I was going to buy a raspberry pi for. I'll erase the diskette and install probably Linux Mint; I don't know if it is 64 bit.
As for that flat-screen TV, the LCD works fine but the backlight doesn't work.

Their browser (chrome) had some random bookmarks (one of which was for pornhub) and it had lots of passwords saved!
I erased the diskette and installed Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon 64-bit; apparently it's 64-bit because it worked.

Linux... You dare to defy the Windows Empire with your inferior operating system?! Have at you, foul thing; your foolish rebellion will not be tolerated within the walls of this kingdom! We will bear down upon your homes, enslave your children and hear the lamentation of your women as the rivers run red with blood! You will not overthrow us! Not this day, not this hour! We will remain steadfast in the wake of war and retaliate with legions of might, each man his own! Hearken unto these mighty men of valor and let your hearts tremble with fear, for the very heavens cry out against your insolent behavior!

*Ahem* Hey, cool build, Lamp.
